Description
Smoky quartz is colored with an admixture of aluminum, sodium and lithium. A dark brown to black, almost opaque variety of quartz is called morion.

A druse of two transparent smoky crystals of the same size, sometimes covered with lustrous green chlorite and intergrown by other smaller quartz crystals. From below the specimen is terminated by abundant hypoparallel rock crystals and on this termination it perfectly stands without any stand support.
